Hi
I'm getting the message
"Windows host process (rundll 32) has stopped working"
it seems to be part of the install process
Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix please?

Very "generic" error. It's like saying: "A warning sign went on". Yup good,
but you have to say more.

From google searches it appears that Nero could be the culprit

=================================

Ok this is an easy fix. I had exactly the same problem.

1. Go to computer, your main drive, program files, common files,
Ahead, DSfilter.

2. Rename "NeroVideoProc.ax" to say "1NeroVideoProc.ax"

3. Rename "NeVideo.ax" to say "1NeVideo.ax"

4. Reboot

That didn't work either
So I'm trying

Go into control panel, then folder options, then view and tick Always
show icons, never thumbnails. That's it now shouldn't come up anymore.
It isn't a Nero problem, it seems to only come up when folders are
opened up that contain video files. It has something to do with
various video codecs bla bla bla.

What's the specific fault information for this crash according to the
Problem Reports and Solutions control panel's "View Problem History"?

When did this start happening? Are you noticing any other effects? Have
you run up-to-date anti-virus/trojan/keylogger software on your system?
