I don't think setting up and running Vista64 is the wisest choice for you
based on several aspects of your post(s)...

Probably because your post makes you look like an idiot. It's poorly written
with lots of misspelling and makes it hard to read.

ARE THE DRIVES SATA OR EIDE?
THE EIDE DRIVES MUST BE JUMPERED AS MASTER/SLAVE IF ON THE SAME CABLE, IF
SEPARATE CABLES, EACH CAN BE LEFT AS MASTER, IF SHARING A CABLE WITH A
CD/DVD DRIVE, THE JUMPERS MUST BE SET TO EITHER MASTER OR SLAVE (THE
OPPOSITE OF WHAT THE CD/DVD IS JUMPERED AS)
IF SATA, EACH HAS IT'S OWN CABLE AND YOU JUST PLUG IT IN.
IF YOU MEAN RAID, THERE ARE SEVERAL VARIATIONS AND WE NEED TO KNOW WHICH YOU
ARE USING.

No, not true. Both drives, if IDE, can be set on the same cable with the
same jumper position (Cable Select) OR be configured with jumpers as master
and slave. This option has been around for years. As for setting up a m/b
controller based RAID system in Vista64 with an 80Gig and 500Gig SATA drives
as the primary array in RAID1, please feel free to give him your all caps
advice.

Oh boy, holier than thou are we?
Until he replied back with his desired configuration, my advice gives him a
place to start.
The cable select option is available, but not necessarily on every board.
If he doesn't have a basic understanding of how things work, he needs
specific advice, and in my experience not always several different options
to confuse a beginner.
If I had listed all the possiblilties, I'd still be typing my initial reply.
I sure wish I knew everything!
