I believe my machine is running below its capacity, despite the fact that I
use registry cleaners, SpySweeper, Wash Windows, Eusing registry cleaner AVG
etc, probably too much. I don't start these automatically, just when I want
to do the maintence, so they are not running.

A technician says then to reload the machine with the factor CD setup disk
and reload everything.

I don't want to do this. I also tried the website recommended in another
message on this board, but all it did was do what I already was doing.

I also config sys startup to only 2 or 3 commands.

Is there another procedure where I can check to about what might be the
problem?

Toshiba current bios
Windows kept updated.
1.60 gigahertz Intel Core Duo
64 kilobyte primary memory cache
2048 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: Intel Corporation

The two gig of ram is only being used half the time and CPU only maxes out
occasionally.

XP Professional SP2 Bios
