runtime error 35006 The name is not in use for a subkey or named g

I loaded Win-CNC 2002(glorified text editor) and cannot get it to run. The
manufacture said they have 2 users with Vista who use it currently with no
problems. The above message is all I get. The software can be downloaded
with a 30 day trial at http://www.marucit.com/products/software/wincnc.html .
I ran it on XP with no problems. Any Ideas as to settings that may be
changed to get it to run?

Download and save the .exe to your desktop, or wherever, right-click ,
properties, run in XP SP2 mode

Thanks Mick. I did that but it still will not run. I keep getting "Runtime
error 35006 The name is not in use for a subkey or named value". Any other
ideas?
