Hi,

I have been using build 8.5.1302.1018 for some time without error. This
morning I recieved an error when opening Live Messenger

Runtime Error
Line: 3
Error: Syntax Error.

I have uninstalled and re-downloaded the program.

Still, I can't get rid of this error and MS Messenger runs intermittently.

Any help, direction to a different site or other such assistance would be
appreciated.

Greetings Dale,

Usually what you're describing is the advertisement (which is actually a web page frame).
This comes up from time-to-time -- the ad companies don't properly test their ads.

However, although it should appear, clicking No to the prompt should allow Messenger to run
normally. Are you seeing something different?

Hey Thanks Jonathan,

Although the error appeared all day yesterday, everytime I would open a
window, close messenger and restart, or initiate a chat, It is gone this
morning.

It bugged the heck out of me yesterday though.

Thanks for the reply and I will remember this going forward.
