Hello all: (first post here)

I can get RWW to work internally, but when I try to access externally, I get
page not found. I understand a certain firewall port must be open but I have
talked to a support company and they have accessed our network from their
home office so I know it is set-up to work. Internally, I type
https://corp.xxxxxxx.local/Remote and I get connected to RWW; what do I type
in externally to connect to the same place? I tried to use ipconfig on the
server but it gives me the router ip; (192.168.1.1). Please help, I need
remote server access.

First confirm that ports 443 and 4125 are truly open through your firewall.
Next do you have a registered domain and an external DNS A record that
points to your server? If so was the CEICW run using that A record? Your A
record might be mail.mydomain.com or remote.mydomain.com. Taking the latter
as an example you would access the server through RWW by using
https://remote.mydomain.com/remote in the browser on the external computer.

Hello Brett,

Thanks for your post and Steve's input.

What SBS server version you are using? Is it SBS 2003 or SBS 2008?

If it is SBS 2003, please follow Steve's suggestion to double check your firewall/router settings as well as the public DNS records that are all correct, run CEICW to publish the
RWW website(remote virtual directory) to the Internet.

If you are using SBS 2008, please refer to the following article to configure your RWW:

More information:

Hope this helps. Also, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,
