RWW stopped working...

Hello,

I am running SBS 2003 standard on a 32 bit server. RWW was working fine and
suddenly stopped. I searched a lot of sites and found some troubleshooting
tips. In short, I used netstat and found that the process "services.exe"
was listening on port 4125.

How can I get services.exe to listen on another port?

Thank you.

Matthew Wells

This is likely the DNS patch.

Sorry I'm a bit late for the reply. I applied the patch, but it only
changed the process that was using port 4125 from "services" to "system".
I'm still at a loss as to how to block that. Do you have any more
suggestions?

Thank you.

Add 4125 to the Reserved Ports list in the registry (as shown in the
articles).

I though I replied, but I guess not.

I tried the DNS patch. It only changed the process using port 4125 from
"services.exe" to "system". Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks.
