In disc clean up there is an option to
"safely delete files that have not been modified in over a week

How do I know if they have been modified and therefor safe to remove

Also, is it safe to delete system archived error reports

Those are temporary files. Delete them.

Hello Yorkshire Lass,

If it is listed in Disc Cleanup, then the file is over a week old
unmodified and safe to delete. There is nothing you need to do to check
for this.

I would double check with this tutorial below to make sure that it is
safe for you to delete the system archived error reports. If these files
are large GB sizes, then it could destroy you Vista installation if you
deleted them.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
