Samsung Blackjack does not sync on Vista RTM x64

I just bought a Samsung blackjack, and I cannot get it to sync with my PC.
I did some scrounging around online and found that there's a mobility center
beta 3 for Vista. I installed that and that didn't make any difference when
trying to sync my blackjack. However, now when I plug in my older Audiovox
6000 the device manager trips off and then active sync seems to start
(though it would appear that its only good for one go before active sync
stops working).

I'm at a complete loss -- any help would be much appreciated.

- Phil

Hi,
Did you install the x64 version -
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en ?

Are you using an AMD64 cpu? It doesn't look like Intel CPUs are supported.

Did you install Defender, and are you sure the correct ports are open in
whatever firewall you're using? I found it very frustrating that brand new
products like Vista, Defender, and the Mobility Center can't configure
themselves properly upon installation. I do realize that Defender and the
Mobility Center are in beta, but for gosh sakes, it should be able to work
out of the box... <sarcasm>On the plus side, there's only about 6 ports you
have to manually configure, and they're so well documented... </sarcasm> I
don't have the link here that gave me the ports I need; I'll see if I can
find it at home and post back with it.

There is a known issue if you use the Vista Firewall and Windows Mobile
Device Center. Ceck out this forum thread with details to manually setup
the firewall

When I tested Vista RTM, Office 2007 RTM, WMDC Beta3 and Defender I did not
have to configure it.
