I bought a Maxtor SATA300 500 Gig Hard Drive. I put it in my computer and it
showed up in my BIOS. This disk that came with it won't boot so I'm not sure
how to get this drive going. Anyone can help?

Dis-connect the old HDD that won't boot, connect the new drive, place the OS
CD that you plan to install into your CD ROM---make sure you pc is set to
boot from you cd ROM---turn on you computer hit any key when prompt to boot
from your CD and follow instructions
