As an original user of WinTidy, I was glad to find then read 'th

My new installation of Vista Ultimate 64 has so far trashed my ico
layout a couple of times
However, when I install WinTidy, it won't function for me. It tells m
"Your desktop has more than one icon with the follwing name or names:
followed by a large blank area and ending in "...and 39 others." I save
the layout anyway, and my desktop was trashed when I restored it
Sadly, the app has not been updated
I tried freeware Desksave, mentioned by dean-dean, at 'DeskSave -* Sav

It works fine, and has been updated in 2008 for 64 bit systems.
worthy replacement for WinTidy. Thanks, Thorsten Blauhut

Hmm...is it possible to set it to auto-restore on every startup?

I use Pitaschio to make my icons list-style, but every time it loads,
it replaces all the icons into one spot all stacked on each other, so
I'd like something that restores the desktop every time my computer
starts up.

Perhaps even a batch file that starts pitaschio and then restores the
desktop right afterwards (perhaps with a delay in between if that's
possible)

Not very good with computers so I'm not really sure about the
limitations with these possibilities

Thanks In Advance.

Hmm, I don't think so, at least not natively in the application
Attached is a picture of the options

You can certainly do it with two keystrokes, though: <rtclick on th
desktop><release click on Restore Desktop

Any further info than this is best referred to the dev in the link
above. There I see he has a console command line version, so that on
likely can be combined in some sort of script file (batch file)

:cheers
