Save Windows Update files

Is there a way to save windows updates away such that I can use these updates
later? For example, apply the same patches to other computers (coslty and
slow to re-download the same patches) or when I need to reload the disc, I
don't need to start from the original CD which is 3 years old. Any
suggestions? Thanks.

The installed updates can not be saved for reuse.
However you can download the updates from the Windows Update Catalog
and burn to CD for future use, #1 on this link:
