we recently switched from Outlook Express to Outlook & I just realized that
my "Sent" folder is not saving copies of sent messages. Anyone know where to
go to do this? I looked through "Options" & have come up empty. Yikes!

What version of Outlook, and what type of account? (POP, IMAP etc)

The procedure between Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2007 should be similar,
but here is what you need to do in Outlook 2003:

- Open Outlook
- On the "Tools" menu, click "Options"
- In the "Preferences" tab, click the "E-mail Options..." button
(near the top right corner)
- Click "Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder" to place a
check mark.
- Click OK
- Click OK againThat should do it. See attached image for help.

Not really what you ask but a good tip for your email accounts.

You can also have outlook to save copies on your server. I have all my
email accounts set up like this. You will always have a back up. Has
saved my but more that I care to thank.

Go:
Tools
E-mail account
View or change existing E-Mail accounts
Next
Select a account
Change
More Settings
Advanced
Check mark "Leave a copy of messages on the server."

About once a month I go to the server and delete what I don't need to
save. I like doing this as I then can report spam to the server and help
keep the junk down.
