Saying "No" to updates...

It's not something that bugs me often whenever my computer wants to restart
after updating; I'll simply stop what I'm doing since it's not important and
restart my computer. What bugs me is when I'm working on something and I
click "No, I'll restart later" and five minutes later it pops up asking me
the same thing, giving me a time limit before it actually restarts regardless
of what I wish. After clicking "No" 15 times, I went in search for some
documents so I could fill out more information. 7 minutes go by, I return to
my computer and BAM! Everything's closing and it restarts. I try going back
to what I was working on and POOF! Everything's gone. I would much rather
have a pop-up reminding me every 3 minutes to restart than a pop-up
threatening me to restart. Is there any way I can change this from happening
in the future? I mean, I'm not a "No" kinda person but when I say "No,"
dammit, I mean it.

Get over yourself. When you do updates, don't do anything else,
temporarily disable your anti virus and don't set it to download and
install automatically. They come out every second Tuesday. Do you think
you can remember that and then turn on auto updates when you're not busy?

Consider changing your Windows Update setting to notify when updates are
available or download but do not install until authorized.

You can then choose when you want to update.
