I don't know if this will help you, but it worked for me. If you have a
Ethernet connection, the speed setting may be causing the problem.
Open Device Manager/network card/Properties, Speed tab, set to 10 Mbps full
duplex, instead of 100Mbps (or automatic mode.) For some reason, running
like this for a while made my system find the connection,
