SBS 2000 Domain to Server 2003- any experts?

Question:

I have a Windows 2003 server in a domain. It is just a member server
curently. The DC of this domain is a SBS 2000 machine. The SBS machine needs
to be retired and we want to make the existing Windows server 2003 machine
the new DC. How do we move the domain from the SBS2000 server to the
exisitng Windows server 2003 so when we turn off the SBS server the domain is
up and running on the Windows 2003 Server?

1. Is this possible/advisable?
2. What would the steps be?
