Hello!
I'm having a problem getting redirection to work again on our network after
installing a new Dell PowerVault NAS machine running Windows Storage Server
2003 R2.
All shared files needing to be migrated from our SBS server to the NAS
server were copied just fine with no errors using the File Migration Tool Kit
Wizard from Microsoft. The location of each user's My Document files are now
located at \\Server02\Server02\Users. So, for example, all of my documents
are now located at \\Server02\Server02\Users\WendellM\WendellM's documents.
When I go in to Server Management-Users-My Document redirection and enter in
the new path to the file server, I'm entering in \\Server02\Server02\Users
and the message that follows when I click on OK is telling me that the
clients new redirection will take place once they log off and log back in to
the network. However, after this is done, the target location for the My
Documents folder/icon on each desktop remains the old location. On the new
file server, I've configured the Users folder with the correct file folder
permissions as spelled out in the Redirection Help screen. Not sure what
else to do to get redirection to see this new path
Sure appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks!
