SBS 2003R2 ActiveSync 4.5 Windows mobile 6.5 support code: 0x80072

New windows mobile 6.5 HTC Tilt II receives the following error message while
attempting to synchronize/setup exchange e-mail from the SBS 2003R2 support
code: 0x80072F7D. All information from searching the web seems to point to a
bad username and/or password which is incorrect. Configured SBS 2003's
e-mail and Internet access using the wizards, had a 6.1 mobile device and
after installing the SBS certificate it worked fine. Any information
available will be greatly appreciated.

Hard to fix without the device in my hand but I would check the IIS logs on
the SBS server.

I use a tool called tail to scroll the logs in real-time as the device hits
the server. That usually explains the issues.

What happens if you try to access https://server/exchange from the mobile
device?
