Folks,
Most grateful for some help resolving this problem. I have googled and
bing'd but haven't found the magic information.
Migrated to SBS 2008 this past weekend, bought a certificate from Godaddy,
followed their instructions to download it to SBS and install it. All went
as planned. When I look at the certificate wizard, I have a self-signed one,
and the godaddy one.
When I go to
https://remote.domain.com/remote, I get a certificate error.
View the certificate, and it's the self issued one. Even when I try to
install it, it says import was successful, but doesn't show up under Trusted
Authorities. That is one issue.
The other is that autodiscovery for remote outlook clients isnt' working,
and that is my main purpose at the time. I bring up Outlook 2007 and it auto
starts the setup, I put in name and e-mail and it "finds" me, but gives me an
error on the certificate and doesn't connect me. When I view the cert, it is
the self-signed one.
I also have clients on outlook 2003 trying to connect remotely, and the
setup I did for them from SBS 2003 under the proxy settings doesn't work
there either.
I was under the impression if I bought a godaddy certificate and ran the SBS
2008 wizard it would install all the appropriate places and my clients (at
least with Outlook 2007) could auto connect. Not happening.
Any advice on how to troubleshoot this, and fix it for 2007 and 2003 outlook
clients?
Mike
