I have a client who needed to reboot their server this AM (we couldn't log
onto RWW, when this happens, they reboot. It happens once every couple of
months.) Upon rebooting, they called and are telling me they are getting a
windows titled "Windows Complete PC Restore".

Why would this come up on a normal reboot? Did they have a failure of some
sort? Can we get by this screen to get the server back online?

I thought I would try here first, as I cannot get to the site until later
this afternoon.

Thank you in advance.

No. One of the first things I had them check. Drive is empty.

I know I'll be going there in a few hours, just trying to see if there's
anything that can be done in the meantime.

The odd thing is that it is only giving 3 options

1. Windows Complete PC Restore
2. Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
3. Command Prompt

Anyone have ANY ideas?

There's a DVD of a SBS 2008 somewhere attached to that system. You only
get that with the media being booted off of.

Has anyone ever had SBS 2008 running fine, rebooted, then brough to the
Complete PC Restore Screen without warning?

Make sure the server BIOS is booting off the intended drive and not a USB
drive or other drive. Sometimes the BIOS can reset the order on a reboot.

Nope. It can only get there with a boot from media.
