I found this through the RIM support forum. I cannot find the "official"
notice from RIM. You can see how RIM has not updated the software like they
have BES. Small businesses are screaming but from what I have read RIM only
cares for the big guys. I have set up XP Pro boxes running BPS hitting SBS
servers (created detailed install document for it) but will soon be trying
another XP Pro box hitting SBS2008.

I think this Blackberry Professional is for up to 30 devices.

Looks like it's still available, perhaps just a name change.

It's still available but they are dropping support for it including any
future enhancements. Basically if you want to use BPS you will not be able
to run it on a Windows 2008 server. They are forcing you go use BES which
is big $ and not usually in the budget of a small business. I can install
BPS and run it on an XP Pro box and I know it will run against an
SBS2003/Exchange but I have not tried it against SBS2008/Exchange 2007.
That is what I am working on now.
