Scanner & Camera Wizard

Hi,

I am planning to upgrade to Vista and wish to use the Home Premium
Edition.

XP has a useful utility, the Scanner and Camera Wizard, which I use in
preference to the utility supplied with my printer as the Windows
utility saves scans as jpegs.

I note that Vista Home Premium doesn't have the new Fax & Scan
feature. Will it still have the old Scanner & Camera utility or has
that been lost from the Home Premium edition?

I have no use for the extra features of Fax and Scan but I would not
upgrade if it means I lose the functionality of the Scanner and Camera
utility in XP.

Thanks,
Guy

There is no Fax or Scan utility provided with Vista Home Premium.
I purchased Vuescan, which works really well for scanning.

Some users have purchased Snappy Fax, but it would not work with my USB AIO.
However, I can still send faxes manually.

Thanks, but for pretty much the same price as Vuescan I can pay the
difference get Vista Ultimate.

I only send about 2 faxes per year, so I'm happy to do these manually
from my all-in-one printer.

What I really want to know is whether or not Vista Home Premium has at
least the scanning functionality that XP Home had.

Guy.
