scanner xp

xp wont let me install drivers for my mustek 1200ub,as programe not suitable
for ms-dos..message reads c:windows system32autoexec.nt.the system file is
not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft applications.choose close to
terminate.
how can i change this please
