I had an event on my XP system that just popped up a text file. If the
system was not on at the appointed time then it would start when the
system was started. If the text file was closed it would keep
reopening every 5 minutes. (If it was already open it wouldn't open
another.) I would use this as a monthly reminder. When I was done with
it I would reschedule it to start next month.
I've tried to do the same thing in Vista but it won't. It runs if the
system is on, but doesn't start it on system-start if it was missed.
Nor does it restart if I close the text file. I have it scheduled to
start one time on a given date. I have the check box for start on
system-start if it's missed. I have settings to try to restart every 5
minutes if it's not running. But it doesn't pay attention to those
settings. Help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tom
