Good Day ...

I hope all is well in your domain.

1. I have Vista Premium, latest patch level
2. I am not a skilled 'user'
3. I have a Dell Inspiron 531
4. At times, Vista will run a task and I do not know:
a. what is running
b. why it is running
c. if I need it to run
d. how to stop it from running then, and maybe forever
5. Would some kind soul direct me a bit on this subject? Like how I can
obtain knowledge about 4a through 4d ?

Thanks for your time & consideration.
Jim

Start Programs - Control Panel - Administration Tools - Task Scheduler
Under "actions" select "Display all running tasks"
Follow your nose around the general area to learn what, why, if and possibly
how.

Jay ...

Thanks for your reply.

I have been 'there' ... guess I'll go 'there' again.
Take care.
