Basically I am trying to get my pc to turn on from standby into MCE with live
TV every weekday morning to wake me up.
I created this task in XP successfully but there the recoervy from standby
was flakey to say the least – but the scheduled task worked.
I am now trying the same thing in Vista and I’m running into a few issues.

So basically I’m trying to create a scheduled task that launches MCE
(eshell) on the live tv page.
I tested out the path and parameters separately (from a shortcut) and it
works fine.
Except when I try this via a scheduled task I get nothing – it wakes from
standby, says the task is successfully running but I don’t see anything.

I then tried to schedule a task to load windows media player and make it
play a playlist. This sort of works (it wakes up and plays music) except it
doesn’t actually launch windows media player (I can’t find it in the list of
procesess either) so I can’t shut it down or turn the music off except by
disabling the scheduled task.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
