screen flashes black between screen loads

I just got this computer with Vista on it and on both the internet an
on any documents that I open that screen flashes black just before i
loads. It looks like the background turns black. Suggestions

I would be checking at the Computer Manufacturer's website for the latest
Video Card drivers.
