Screen flashing with SP2 on certain games

I have downloaded SP2 which has caused no problems except on some pinball
games. Without SP2 the pinball games played fine even though they were really
designed for Win98 etc. Since installation of SP2 however at certain points
in the game the screen goes darker and starts flashing. When you hit the ball
however the path of the ball restores the bit of display to normal with
everything else still flashing. After a good few hits however the middle of
the screen is restored where I have hit the ball although the surround are
still flashing because the ball doesn't go there. If I click quit then resume
this sometimes works but later in the game the error reoccurs. I have tried
safe mode but some games don't run at all giving a set display failure.
Anyone any advice please?

Download and install the latest drivers for your video card.

Thanks for the advice gw. The original drivers were fairly recent but I
upgraded to the latest Nvidia drivers from their site (July 04). The problem
still occurs therefore does this mean I have to live with it or is there
another possible solution?

You might try other (modified) drivers, for example Omega
(http://www.omegadrivers.net/)
That solved certain problems for me.
