Screen saver freeze

Vista Business SP1

Power question: I have my computer set to "never" turn off display and
"never" sleep.

The screen saver I'm using is a changing display of photos. This morning,
when I got to the office after the weekend, the screen was displaying one of
the photos. The display was dimmed, and the photo did not change. I don't
know how long it was that way.

Any ideas why this is?

Built-in, photo slideshow.

But it hasn't happened again.
