My computer came pre-installed with Vista Home Premium and for some time I
was able to run a slideshow of pictures as my screensaver. After a while
however this feature stopped working. Then after a double virus/spyware
attack I decided to make a fresh installation of Vista. However, the
slideshow feature still will not work. Has anyone got any ideas how to get it
to work?

Hello Bobbie
First of all, since you had a fresh install, please check your pictur
folder ( just in case it was empty.) But of course not.
Let's do a check list : Go back to Screensaver settings windo
Under screensaver heading, is Photo selected as your screensaver
If yes, look to the right of Photo, click Setting
Tick the box that says "Use pictures and videos from c:\users\(you
name)\pictures
Further down, set theme at RANDOM, and speed MEDIU
Click SAVE
Try the Preview. Is the slide show on

I had already done all that. I did it again, though, and it still does not
work.

Hello Bobbie,
Are you using a wireless mouse and/or keyboard ? If yes, you need to
install an optional windows update called " other hardware hid non-user
input data filter" It is designed for wireless.
If no, try the link below : ( read the entire tutorial before you jump
in. )

Hi! Yes I do have a wireless desktop and I went into Windows Update but hit
an unexpected snag. Its says I have to install an update to Windows Update
first before I can check for updates. I do this but it keeps looping so I
can't get past this to look for the optional update you mentioned

Hello Bob,
Go to google search box and type Intellipoint. You need to install
intellipoint software in order to find the optional. Just follow the
instructions of installing intellipoint.
