Screen Saver trouble

My screen saver only works when i am running wireless or no internet at all,
at school i am hooked up to ethernet in the dorms and as long as the etehrnet
is plugged in, the screen saver will not come on. I realize this is petty,
any suggestions?

I would suspect a 'wake on lan' setting in the bios.

I thought so too, I cant seem to find it or anything else to fix it.
