screensaver does not let the monitor turn off ?

I have Vista Ultimate, I noticed that the "turn off monitor" power option
does not work if I set a screensaver. Why is that? How can I have both
working?

Hi,
Are you using photo's as a screen saver? If so there seems to be a problem
with powering down the monitor with that screen saver. I have read that since
the photos screen saver can play videos and videos, by default, load an audio
component (even though no audio is used in the screensaver) it is this audio
component that keeps the monitor on.

I have seen more in detail what happens: if the scrensaver is on, the monitor
turns off but after less than a second it turns on again

Is anyone there able to help me? Still trying to find a solution
