Screensaver does not start

I set my screensaver to start after 6 minutes and the monitor to turn off
after 15. The screensaver doesn't start, but the monitor will turn off ok.
If I go into the screen saver settings and reselect the screensaver I'm using
(windows logo) and click apply, the screensaver will work. I'm using a wired
mouse + keyboard and vista business 64.
