screesaver in vista - not wireless!

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I bought a laptop a couple of months ago and one day suddenly the
screensaver stopped working. I can't even preview it for more than
about 1/2 sec.

I do not use a wireless mouse, but all I can find on the subject when I
google the problem is the old issue with wireless mice.

I've even reformatted the HD, it still didn't help.

Hi,

Then look to some software you have installed, something like has a tsr
thread running that is interfering with the ss operation.
