Script errors on office update after installing patch 891711 on win98 SE

After installing above update I wanted to update Word2000 on
OfficeUpdate. However the page checking for the needed updates has
script errors and does therefore not load completely. How do I
correct that?
Thanks for any suggestions to solve this problem.
