scroll, number, caps lock indicators

In the bottom right of my Vista computer, there are 3 tiny buttons (along
with all the others, like the clock, sound, printer, windows sidebar etc)
that say "num lock, caps lock, and scroll lock". I have never had these on
any computer, and see no need for them. I never look at them. How can I get
rid of them?

Those aren't Vista standard icons... they are probably something the
computer maker added.
What type of computer is it?

*HP computer.

Both HP and Compaq customers are annoyed by those little buggers. Here's
how to remove them....

Start (bottom left corner) -->
Control Panel -->
Programs -->
Programs and Features -->

Scroll down till you see a file with this title....

*HP On-Screen Cap/ Num/ Scroll Lock Indicator*

Right click that little sucker and delete it! Congo Rats!
