I'm of the opinion that since MS bought this application (SDS 2.0) from some
Russian company in California (?), that it is MS's way of distancing
themselves from what I suspect is a part of the Homeland Security rootkitting
into our computers.
Accordingly, in that this thing appears to install 'updates' every time one
updates anything from MS (via their genuine software verification
tool/rootkit), it 'updates' itself (assuming anyone has ever rid their system
of SDS 2.0 to begin with) and of most concern assures it cannot be removed as
it thereby locks users out of their restore points.
Homeland security by means of nazis like tactics as far as I'm concerned.
