With the (*.MSI) file you can right click on the file and choose Install,
Repair or uninstall.
I just got the problem a few minutes ago after running Microsoft update.
Windows Live Suite (unchecked) Install search Tool Bar.
So I just uninstalled the Search Enhancement Pack.
I searched for "Search Enhancement Pack" in the registry.
I found the UninstallString Value.
Then copied it, ran CMD, pasted with mouse right click and hit <Enter>
Done! Thats it.
There is an update for those who wish to have the search bar and have IE8
problem.
