there. I have tried to reset all the options in
Customize Start menu, but Search files is no longer seen
is this WAD?

Hey, your right! I just noticed that, what's going on.

The search feature nad indexing still works if, but you need to access it
from the search window on the start menu by starting a search from there.

The link has gone missing!

You can thank Google and their legal threats for this "feature". I've yet
to find a way to get it back.

I agree totally. But the legal system is also to blame. These kinds of
cases should be thrown out of court. It was exactly the same with the
IE thing that went on for years when there never was a case to answer
in the first place. Google are being jerks, but unfortunately it is the
legal system that is enabling them to get away with it.

Is the ''search files'' feature an .exe file that could be found and a new
shortcut made to? Then affix the new shortcut to the start menu?
