Please help! During automatic updates and manual windows update step 4, the
security update KB840987 fails.
I am running Win XP Pro on a Dell 4600. We are total novices when it comes
to computers. Use it for the basics but it seems we may have been infected
by this spyware stuff. We are concerned as to how to fix -- we are thinking
this security update would be helpful. We have already installed Ad-Aware
but the computer is still indicating problems, though it is not as sluggish.
