The second display that i have connected to my MBP laptop stays (sometimes)
blank in Vista after resuming from standby. The Video card is an ATI Radeon
1600. The driver properties from the 2nd display "list all modes" is
incorrect when this happeneds it shows (800x600) the display is capable of a
(1028x1280) resolution.

Is this an known error, and is there a something i can do to fix this?

Hey there Allards,

What model laptop is it and what BIOS revision are you on? I find that
usually this is a hardware problem with the laptop.

Best Regards,

Will

Hi

It's a Macbook Pro 2.33 Mhz, i'm up to date with Apple's Firmware patches.

I'm not terribly big on the MacBooks (I'm a Wintel fanboy myself) so i don't
know if there could be a potential hardware issue. The only other thing that
I could think of would be to go to ATi's website and get the latest driver
for the OS. ATi usually updates their drivers every couple of weeks.

Let me know if this works. If not, then I'm stumped.

Best Regards,

Will

I'm also a Wintel fan, but apple Hardware is beautiful imho and the fastest
laptops for Vista are the MBP's.

My driver is up to date, it seems that Vista detects the 2nd display
wrongfully at an lower resolution than that monitor can display after
resuming (at least sometimes).

I can't be the only user who is "pleased" with this wonderful BUG!?
