Patti:
Thanks for your response... but, I tried to install it several times and it
didn't work. What mistifies me is that the update shows Download Size of 0
KB, and 0 minutes -- Update is as follows:
Security Update for Windows XP (KB835732)
Download size: 0 KB, 0 minutes
Multiple security issues have been identified that could allow an attacker
to compromise a computer running Windows and gain complete control over it.
You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft.
After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
Details...
In addition, the following is stated in details regarding this update:
Security Update for Windows XP (KB835732)
Date last published: 9/21/2004
Multiple security issues have been identified that could allow an attacker
to compromise a computer running Windows and gain complete control over it.
You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft.
After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
System Requirements
Recommended CPU: Not specified.
Recommended memory: Not specified.
Recommended hard disk space: Not specified.
If you note, there's no specifics regarding memory, hard disk space, etc.,
so this also leads me to believe this is a bogus update, especially when
Download Size is 0 KB, and 0 minutes!
This simply looks like a bogus update -- a technical glitch by Microsoft.
Your thoughts?
Thanks for your time and consideration, Patrick
