When starting my computer I would get the red shield saying my Winders
Defender was turned off even though it said it was running when I clicked on
start and went to Windows defender. Was instructed to do the
salvagerepository twice. Now, I get the red shield and it says I have
multiple security issues. When I went to security center it said the firewall
was off in addition to not finding any virus software under the malware
Protection. I have Norton. isn't that virus protection? Does Windows Vista
not recognize it? Also, when I turned Firewall back on, the next time I
powered up it asks if I want to run it instead of Norton or both? What should
I do? Not very computer literate so please be specfic. Thanks
