Is there any way to run this security component upgrade
(http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/...en/indivit.asp
) in an automated fashion.

I would really hate to login into ~100 machines manually just to go to that
stupid website and click the upgrade button.

I believe there is. Have you checked with your MS rep, if any?

Speaking for myself only.
See http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
