SECURITY UP DATE KB890923 & KB837009

TRYING TO UP DATE THE ABOVE SECURITY REFERENCES, BUT COULD NOT UPDATES, EVEN
AFTER SEVERAL TRIES.

LET ME KNOW WHAT ARE THE REASONS AND WHAT SHOULD I DO TO UPDATE THESE
SECURITY REFERENCES.

Is this from the online website at Windows Update, or , from Automatic Updates?

Is this a failure to download? or a failure during install phase? What was the exact message displayed?

Look for file WindowsUpdate.log in your C:\Windows folder ( or it may be C:\WINNT on your system).

Use Notepad or Wordpad to open & view contents. Scan down to the very bottom. Look at the set of lines for that last session-date.
Do you see lines with "Error" and some text with "fail".
Copy the set of lines for that last session-date & paste back into a reply in here.
