Security Update 835732 Won't Install

I am trying to install the 835732 Security Update on Windows XP,
and it says that it installs correctly. Then I go back to WindowsUpdate,
and it says that it needs to be installed again. I repeat the process
over and over, and it still says that it needs to be installed.

What is required to get this to update correctly?

Clean your system of spyware and then install Service Pack 2. Why fool with
all of the individual updates. Service Pack 2 not only includes all of them,
but better versions.
