Security update 927779 (MDAC) keeps installing forever.

I'm running XP-SP2 and got this update which I've installed many times but
it comes every day over again. The version of MDAC is 2.81.1117.0 (from
registry).



How to get ride of this? Thanks a lot.

I’ve seen others related posts (*) on this forum and made some checks on my
system:
• The KB927779 has been installed prior to KB911562 (date of install).
911562 supersedes 927779 which seems OK.
• There is only one version of 927779 installed
• There is no occurrence of the string “927779� in the registry
• All others updates run normally
• When I’ve tried to uninstall 927779, I’ve received a warning message “If
KB927779 is uninstalled others programs cannot run properly…�, follows by a
long list of programs which use it. I’ve then cancelled the uninstall – can I
uninstall it without putting my system at risk?


Any helps will be greatly appreciated
