Security Update, February 13, 2002 (MSXML 4.0)

I am using Windows ME and Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106

I just recently installed a larger hard drive and had to restore my OS to
that drive. I got all of the critical updates and rebooted each time I was
instructed to do so. However, now every time I run Windows Update it finds
that I need critical update "Security Update, February 13, 2002 (MSXML 4.0)".
I go through the motions of downloading and installing the update and then
the next time I check for updates I get the same results. After several tries
at this I am hoping someone can help me resolve this issue.

Thank you.

I had the same thing a few months ago. Exactly. I worked with MS on a
solution and it worked.

Its long. If you post an email (use "at" instead of @) or U.S. fax number
and I will get it to you. Or contact WU support and refer to case
#srz050302000922.

PA Bear, I was not able to find the resolution to my problem through the
link you posted.
Lars, was your answer for Windows ME?
Since I am using Windows ME Microsoft will charge me $35.00 for e-mail
support. I still hope someone can help me.
Thank you.

What exactly did you try and what were the results?

The article is clearly adaptable to other OS than just XP

If you don't give any more feedback than "didn't help"
nobody can help you. Remember, your words have to substitute
for what our eyes might notice.
