Security Update KB835732 will not install

I was forced to reinstall Windows XP Professional on my daughters laptop
using the laptops recovery CDs. Everything went well until I started
updating XP Pro in an attempt to bring it up to date to the latest version of
XP (i.e., SP2), however, during installation of Security Update KB835732 is
informs me that the update failed to install and gives me an error code
0xF00D. Can anybody please help?

Is KB835732 failing during the installation of SP2, Jorge ?

If you're attempting to install it prior to installing SP2, advise you
to skip it as SP2 is not affected by the vulnerability that it
addresses. Look under ' Affected Software ' here :
