Security Update KB917537 continues to fail installation

Auto update continues to download and prompt me to install security fix
KB917537. Each time the update appears to install without any error codes,
however at the nex day's schedule check by Windows Update, the same fix is
detected as not installed, and gets re-downloaded and I am prompted to
install it again.

Any ideas what is going on? The machine I'm using is a pristine install of
Windows XP Pro with SP2 with no other issues.

Do a search on the newsgroup for kb917537. There is alot of problems with it.
It is looking for a file called asp.dll, which probably is not there. I
created that file in %WINDIR%\system32\inetsrv, let the patch go through, and
then deleted the asp.dll file. This seems to work.
